El grupo CMA CGM está rompiendo su propio record para el buque más grande que jamás se haya visitado la costa este de EE.UU. y Canadá. El CMA CGM Marco Polo estableció un nuevo record canadiense con una parada en el puerto de Halifax en Nueva Escocia. El CMA CGM Marco Polo, construido en 2012, se utilizó originalmente en una ruta entre China y Europa. Ahora navegando en el servicio Columbus JAX de la compañía, desde el sur de Asia hasta la costa este de América del Norte, el barco fue reasignado para satisfacer la creciente demanda de capacidad.

En septiembre de 2020, el CMA CGM Brasil de 15,128 teu se convirtió en el buque portacontenedores más grande en hacer escala en la costa este de América del Norte. Estableciendo nuevos récords, el CMA CGM Marco Polo tiene una capacidad de 16.022 teu.
